Operation Cupcake

Team colored cupcake liners

Favorite scoop.  Even batter distribution.

Can you see me?

Love the smell of cake batter.

Not Funfetti, but party rainbow chip should do the trick.  Betty Crocker cake mixes were on sale.

Messy.

Uh oh, scoop failure.  Uneven batter distribution.

Golden brown and delicious.

Attempting the pastry bag and tips.

Sprinkles!

Not bad, eh?

My thumb nail is permanently stained green and I found powdered sugar on my chin and behind  (and IN) my ear, but I think it was worth it.  Hopefully the hungry soccer players will agree.

This has been a baking heavy week here at the Neurotic Household, but it just seems to naturally happen that way.  Next week, I'll have nothing to bake.  Oh, never mind.  It's my birthday next week; the birthday girl needs a cake, right?

Last year I baked a cake, saved a couple of slices for me and Caroline and sent the rest to work with Craig for his co workers to devour.  I just might do the same thing this year.

Okay, it's time to get moving.  I have laundry calling for me and powdered sugar to scrub from the cracks and crevices of my entire kitchen (and apparently my body, as well!).

Happy Veteran's Day!

Some of those pics are amazing! I love the first one. And I want a cupcake.

They loved them! Not that 8 year old girls have distinguished tastes, but still, I'm glad they liked them.
I'm really happy I bought the disposable piping bags and tips. It made decorating easy, but I still made quite a mess.

Sissy, I have a few extra cupcakes, but I doubt they'd make it to NC in one piece.
