But, above all else, I'll be happy for the election to be over because I'm not a fan of robo calls and being inundated with nasty political campaign ads.
In other news, I still haven't bought my new camera. We've had student holidays these past two days and Caroline is much too busy entertaining her friends to find time to escape to the store with me to drool over the cameras on display. I may just wait until tomorrow when they're finally back in school. Hallelujah, I love school. I understand that teachers need time to conduct their parent-teacher conferences, and, not to mention, Caroline's school is a polling place, so the day off is necessary. However, these kids totally cramp my style.
How can I successfully blog, peruse the Internet and bake cookies with a bunch of rugrats bugging me for snacks and asking me to do things I don't want to do, like take them to the park? As thankful as I am that they do not sit around and watch TV all day, sometimes I wish they would, so they'd leave me alone. Actually, I'd rather they play outside (or at someone else's house) but outside play always concludes with someone needing a band aid. That, or they come in and out of the house, slamming the storm door 24 times to get a drink of water.
This parenting thing would be a whole lot easier if there weren't any kids involved!
And there goes my Mother-of-the-Year award. ;)
Well, if I'm not going to be Mother-of-the-Year, perhaps, I'll settle for Baker-of-the-Year. I'm making more of the pumpkin cookies with brown sugar frosting that I made for Caroline's bake sale a couple weeks ago. This time, the cookies are for Craig's co-workers.
I better get baking!

You post cracked me up. It's funny to read about planning days from a parent perspective. I LOVE PLANNING DAYS! And I am one of those teachers who says school would be so much more enjoyable if we had one per week :) I guess that just might do you in? Well, I did my civic duty and voted today and like you I will be watching the big map and praying for lots of red... except in the state of Florida the governors race makes me sad... Today I felt as if I was choosing between a thief and a liar. Yuck!
