In the end, the girls went 2-2. It was a great experience and I am very happy that Caroline was asked to participate.
lots of liquid
snax
pre-game fuel
Golden Grahams (one of my favorites!)
lots of sunscreen
my old lady sunscreen
they played 5 on 5 without goalies and with these puny nets
there were tons of umbrellas at the event..too bad none of them belonged to me!
one of the dads had a cooler full of ice pops---that was the hit of the tournament
spray bottles worked, too
come to mama
bad ass lens
practice shot--not a real goal--although she did score one in the second game!
the field was right near the parking lot and many balls ended up by the cars
handshake at the end of the tournament
LMVSC Patriots
goofy
charging the coach
with water balloons
after each game the girls exchange patches with each team
Yesterday we came home between games; today we went to lunch and to see Toy Story 3. It was a great movie and I'm glad we went, although that 3-D stuff is such a rip off. Two tickets cost $25.75!
Caroline isn't a cheap date, that's for sure. Between our Panera lunch and the movies, a ball of yarn at the fabric store and two Frosties at Wendy's (to support the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption), I dropped quite a chunk of change on her. I guess she's worth it!
We're tired, tan and all soccered out.
I hope you had a good weekend, too!
PS--Happy Father's Day!
