Bits and Pieces

There's really not much going on around these parts right now.  Well, unless you count the marathon we're about to run, the 9th birthday party I need to plan and the deployment Craig is about to embark upon, there isn't much going on.  So, actually, I guess a lot is going on.  Please disregard that first sentence.  Alrighty?

So now that we've established that I do, in fact, have a lot going on, I shall move on, sans clever segue, and show you some pictures I took of random junk.

First up:  Marathon necessities.

Don't they make a lovely duo?

I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm going to have a new found respect and appreciation for extra strength Tylenol on Sunday afternoon.

I bought the big Band Aids, the kind that are supposed to cover your elbow.  I don't anticipate needing an elbow bandage, but I am pretty clumsy I do anticipate having a big blister on my arch that will need maximum coverage.

Secondly:  we have a situation.

A Greek yogurt situation.

Safeway has Chobani on sale for $1 a carton, which is quite a steal.   Obviously, I felt the need to stock up.

And last, but certainly not least,  I made  banana bread yesterday.  However, I was in a fog when I divided the batter between the two loaf pans, which resulted in lop-sided loaves.

Oopsie.

One of these things is not like the other.

Speaking of being in a fog, I called to finalize our Disney Magical Express reservations yesterday afternoon and proved once again that I'm a total airhead.    We're not renting a car while we're in Orlando, because we'll be staying on Disney property and it's easy to get around with their transportation; the Disney Magical Express is the 'comfortable, climate controlled motor coach' which will bring us from the airport to the hotel and back.  Anyway, the lady on the phone asked for our flight info.  After I gave her the flight number, she said something about our plane arriving in Orlando at 2:12.  As I was looking at the information I had written down, which said we arrived at 3:34, I said, in a slightly confused manner, 'I think you have the wrong info.'  Now, you see, when I made the plane reservations in September, our flight was originally for an earlier time; in October we were informed that the flight was being moved to a later time.  I assumed, since the woman on the phone had the wrong time, that the Magical Express computers were unaware of the flight change.  Because, you know, I never get things wrong.

She told me their systems are updated every 24 hours, so their information is accurate.

And then, in a moment of clarity, I glanced at my paper with a new set of eyes and realized that I was looking at our return flight information the whole time!

Sheesh.

It's good to know we can rely on the Magical Express because clearly, I'm losing my mind.

So there you have it, bits and pieces of my day.  And further proof that I'm losing bits and pieces of my mind.

I'm making some deeelicious looking treats today, so let's hope my brain functions properly enough so that I can make these Twix Bars for Craig's co workers.

Wow! You have a lot going on. And Chobani is by far the best greek yogurt. I would have stocked up too.
