Three

Three.

Three Weeks.

Three weeks until school starts!

Technically, it's three weeks from tomorrow, but today is half over. Who's really counting, anyway? Oh, me. That's right. I'm the one counting.

You have no idea how happy this number three makes me. I'm sure I'll be happier when we see numbers 2 and 1, but for now, I'll bask in the glory of the number three.
Like always, the summers go by at lightning speed. At the beginning of the summer break, I felt a little daunted by the 9 weeks of vacation ahead of us. But, by the time we got into the groove, went on a vacation and spent too many hours turning our skin into leather in the summer sun, it was over before we knew it.

And, you know what? That's okay. I'm glad the summer is winding down. The kids are getting antsy and sometimes find themselves growing weary of each other's company. We're tan and have eaten our fill of watermelon and popsicles.

It's time.

On the first day of vacation I had to get pink baby bottle pop candy stains out of the carpet; today I had to remove Caroline's friend's blood from the carpet.

It's time.

I've fed Caroline's friends too many lunches to count, doled out tons of snacks and hosted a few sleepovers.

It's time.

Of course, on the flip side, I realize that the start of a new school year only further amplifies the fact that Caroline is growing older much faster than I can possibly fathom.

Third grade. How did that happen?

Eh, I'll get over it.

Three weeks!!

I thought you were going to say three weeks until Craig comes home, but school is probably a bigger priority around your house! LOL.

You got that righ!! Actually, Craig should be home before school starts. So long as everything goes according to plan. Which, hardly ever happens, so we'll see.

speaking of things (not) going as planned....ask your sister! Ron got a manager job--at the Cheese in Charlotte...which means Laura has to quit there! She's really bummed. They were planning to move to another state and live happily ever after.
He could transfer once he's trained (I think) but still...

Oh no. She can't work there because it's a conflict of interest? She's worked there for so long, that sure stinks for her. He better marry her now.
