Most people like snow. I can see why; it's clean, crisp and peaceful.
I'm not a monster; I like clean, crisp, peaceful snow, too.
What I do not like is snow when I have things to do.
I do not appreciate being inconvenienced.
Nor do I appreciate snowy, slippery stairs.
It's just a little bit of snow (1-3 inches); nothing like last December's uncharacteristic snowstorm and February's Snowpoclypse I and II, so I can't complain too much.
School is closing two hours early and if the previous years are any indication, school will probably be delayed two hours tomorrow morning. That's all fine and dandy except......
We have one more big long run to accomplish before next month's marathon. That long run was supposed to happen tomorrow. 20 miles. 20 big miles that I NEED to conquer strongly; with authority. I need to tackle those 20 miles and come out on the winning side so that I have some sort of confidence going into the marathon. I'm ready to run, but the elements aren't working in my favor. I had a dream last night that I ran a marathon in 7 hours and 50 minutes, which is about three hours longer than my goal time. Hopefully this dream doesn't prove to be prophetic.
Well, until it starts looking like this.
